It does certainly, for free members it's the best way to get noticed, there are groups for nearly everything, and dA has a tool bar just for searching groups [link]

You can check my profile and press the group button in order to see all the groups I am member of, more than a thousand I think, maybe there you can find the one that suits you :thumbsup:
